An app for sustainable fashion

A new app called Good On You has been launched to help consumers discover brands that are doing good for the people, planet and animals as well as check brand ratings for over 1,100 fashion labels. The app allows users to ask questions and give feedback on sustainability issues the brand is or isn’t addressing.

The app provides ratings based on worker impacts and supply chain including policies and practices on child labour, forced labour, worker safety, freedom of association and payment of a living wage. The app also considers supplier relations and auditing practices. The app considers each brand’s resource use including energy use and carbon emissions, and impacts on water including chemical use and disposal. In regards to animal welfare, the app identifies which brands use animal products, including which types and how they are obtained.
